Free Online PSA Method Calculator
Find your perfect mouse sensitivity with the PSA (Perfect Sensitivity Approximation) binary convergence method.
Binary Convergence Algorithm
Each round narrows the search space by one-third. Just 7 iterations converge from a wide range to the optimal sensitivity — dozens of times more efficient than random trial and error.
Based on Feel Feedback
No reliance on formulas or "recommended" sensitivities. PSA uses your actual aiming feel as the sole criterion — the result is the sensitivity best suited to you personally.
Works for All FPS Games
CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends, Overwatch, R6S... Any shooter where you can find your 360° sensitivity works with PSA.
How to Use the PSA Method Calculator
Four steps to scientifically converge to your perfect sensitivity.
Measure 360° Sensitivity
In-game, adjust sensitivity until moving your mouse from one edge of the mousepad to the other produces exactly one 360° turn. Note this value.
Enter Your Base Value
In the PSA calculator above, enter the 360° sensitivity you just measured as your starting base value.
Compare Each Round
Each round presents sensitivities A and B. Test each in-game for 5–10 minutes. Practice flicking, tracking, and fine-tuning aim.
Choose the Natural One
Honestly choose whichever feels more natural and comfortable. Don't let preconceptions about high/low sensitivity influence your judgment.
Sensitivity Glossary
Sensitivity
The numerical parameter controlling mouse movement speed in-game. Higher sensitivity means the same physical mouse movement produces larger view rotation, and vice versa.
cm/360°
How many centimeters the mouse must travel on the mousepad for the character to complete one full 360° rotation. This is the universal standard for comparing sensitivity across games, unaffected by in-game sensitivity number differences.
DPI (Dots Per Inch)
The number of movement dots the mouse sensor detects per inch. Higher DPI means the cursor/crosshair moves further for the same physical distance. Usually used in combination with in-game sensitivity.
eDPI (effective DPI)
Effective DPI = Mouse DPI × In-game Sensitivity. eDPI is a unified metric for fairly comparing actual sensitivity across different DPI settings.
Polling Rate
How many times per second the mouse reports its position to the computer, measured in Hz. Common values: 125Hz, 500Hz, 1000Hz. Higher polling rates reduce input lag — most competitive players use 1000Hz.
Raw Input
The game reads data directly from the mouse, bypassing OS processing. When enabled, Windows mouse acceleration settings are ignored, ensuring the most accurate and consistent in-game mouse input.

Who Should Use PSA?
Competitive Players
From ranked to pro tournaments, precise sensitivity is fundamental. PSA replaces gut feeling with scientific method.
Beginners
Don't know what sensitivity to set? PSA is the best starting point — quickly find your comfort zone without blindly copying others.
New Peripherals
Sensitivity feel changes when you switch mouse or pad. Use PSA to recalibrate — find your best setting in minutes.
Aim Plateau
Been playing a while but aiming always feels off? It might be your sensitivity. PSA helps you re-evaluate and optimize.
Grip Style × Sensitivity Guide
Different mouse grips suit different sensitivity ranges. Find the combination that works for you.
Palm Grip
Recommended cm/360°: 40 – 60 cm
Entire palm covers the mouse — the most stable grip. Relies mainly on arm movement for aiming, suited for low sensitivity.
- • Arm is the primary aiming driver
- • Requires large mousepad (45cm+)
- • Best for CS2, Valorant, and tactical games
Claw Grip
Recommended cm/360°: 25 – 40 cm
Fingers curved in a claw shape, palm rear touches mouse. Balances precision and speed — the most versatile grip.
- • Wrist + finger hybrid aiming
- • Fast click reaction time
- • Best for Apex, OW2, and fast-paced games
Fingertip Grip
Recommended cm/360°: 20 – 35 cm
Only fingertips touch the mouse, palm fully off. Most responsive control, suited for high sensitivity and fast flicks.
- • Pure finger/wrist control
- • Requires lightweight mouse (<70g)
- • Best for high-sensitivity players
User Feedback
Apex
CS2 Player
"Used PSA to find my perfect sensitivity in 40 minutes. My aim stability has improved dramatically. Used to oscillate between 1.5 and 2.5 — never going back."
Dragon
OW2 Player
"Switching from Overwatch to Valorant, the converter perfectly preserved my muscle memory. No readjustment needed — sensitivity converter + PSA is the ultimate combo."
Hawk
Esports Pro
"As a competitive player, precise sensitivity is critical. PSA replaced gut feeling with science — my reaction time and accuracy are both at peak performance."
Frequently Asked Questions
Q.What is 360° sensitivity?
Move your mouse from one end of the mousepad to the other — when your character completes exactly one full 360° rotation, the in-game sensitivity value at that point is your '360° sensitivity.'
Q.Will PSA results change over time?
Slightly. As your skill improves, peripherals change, or hand muscle condition varies, your optimal sensitivity may shift. Re-test every few months or after switching mice.
Q.Are 7 rounds enough?
For most players, absolutely. 7 iterations narrow the initial range by ~95%. If you still feel it's not precise enough, use the previous result as the base for another round.
Q.Do I need separate PSA for each game?
Usually not. Use the Sensitivity Converter (cm/360) to transfer one game's PSA result to others. The feel found through one PSA is universal.
Sensitivity Optimization Core Principles
- • Scientific Method: Use PSA binary convergence instead of random parameter tweaking — this is a textbook optimization approach.
- • Feel is King: There is no 'best sensitivity' — only the sensitivity best suited for you. Pro settings are just reference points.
- • Commit: After finding your result, stick with it for at least 2 weeks to give muscle memory enough time to form.
- • Periodic Recalibration: Re-run PSA when switching peripherals, returning from a long break, or feeling like you've hit an aim plateau.
Precise Aim Starts with PSA
Whether you're a pro, competitive player, or casual gamer, PSA helps you scientifically find your optimal sensitivity.
